11:00 – Explore Nan Old Town, a peaceful city nestled in the mountains, rich in ancient Lanna culture and traditions. The old quarter boasts centuries-old temples, historic communities, and a laid-back lifestyle surrounded by natural beauty. Located in northeastern Thailand, Nan is a destination for those truly seeking to discover its charm. Next, visit the Nan Royal Family House (Hoang Chao Fong Kham), a 100-year-old residence belonging to Chao Sri Tumma, a descendant of Nan’s 12th ruler from the Ting Mahawong dynasty. This heritage house has been passed down through generations.

13:00 – Visit Wat Nong Bua, an ancient Tai Lue temple featuring unique murals inside the ordination hall, depicting the Jataka tales (stories of the Buddha’s past lives). The paintings were created by Thid Bua Phan, a skilled Lao Puon artist brought from Muang Phuan in Luang Prabang. This temple is an excellent example of rare Tai Lue architecture. Next, visit Wat Ban Kong (Wat Si Mongkhon), a temple founded in 1852 in Yom sub-district, Tha Wang Pha district. This temple gained prominence under Luang Pu Kruba Kong, a revered monk who revived the once-abandoned temple and inspired the local community’s spiritual practice.

9:00 – Visit Lamduan Handwoven Textiles, a renowned weaving center in Pua where visitors can see artisans at work and shop for beautiful handwoven fabrics. Nearby is a coffee house and restaurant with great local cuisine. Next, visit Wat Phra That Beng Sakat, an ancient temple dating back to the 13th century, home to a 700-year-old stupa enshrining Buddha relics, a revered site in Pua. The name “Beng Sakat” refers to a mysterious phenomenon where sticks dipped into the ground would inexplicably snap, with light appearing during celebrations. Then visit Wat Phuket, perched atop a hill in Ban Ket village. Despite the name “Phuket,” the temple is in Nan province. It offers stunning panoramic views of lush rice fields backed by mountains, especially beautiful at sunrise. Next, visit Hua Nam Mushroom Farm, known for cultivating three types of mushrooms (black jelly, wood ear, and oyster mushrooms). Visitors can savor mushroom-inspired dishes like homemade mushroom pizza, grilled mushrooms, mushroom salad, and more while enjoying spectacular mountain views.

13:00 – Explore Doi Phu Kha National Park, home to rare pink Chomphu Phu Kha flowers (endemic to this area), lush forests, rivers, waterfalls (such as Phu Fa, Pha Kinok, Tad Luang), and ancient palm forests. This highland park often shrouded in mist offers breathtaking vistas year-round. Visit 1715 Viewpoint, situated 1,715 meters above sea level, offering sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. A perfect spot to witness sunrise or sea of mist on lucky days. Then explore the Bo Kluea Ancient Salt Wells in Ban Bo Luang, a village with over 800 years of salt-making history. Witness the traditional process of boiling brine from natural salt wells unique to this mountainous area—believed to be the world’s only mountain salt well. Next, enjoy the scenic Bo Kluea Wheat Fields, golden fields nestled among mountain ranges with cool, refreshing air year-round.

19:00 – Transfer to your hotel in Bo Kluea or Ban Sapan.

10:00 – Visit Stop Time Café (includes one complimentary drink), a dreamy café offering surreal views of green rice fields and rolling mountains that seem to stop time itself—truly postcard-perfect. Next, visit the Ozone Bridge at Sapan, a local community market where villagers sell homemade food and crafts. Enjoy local flavors while relaxing beside the river amid mountain views. Continue to Ban Waen, a tranquil village known for its stunning rice terraces stretching across the hillside. The best time to visit is late June when the fields are lush green. 13:00 – Visit Pha Phap Pha Curve, a scenic mountain road (Route 1081) known as “The Fabric Fold Curve” with breathtaking views along a 10-kilometer stretch resembling floating in the sky. Next, check in at the Bali Gate (Bali Nan), a new landmark offering a photogenic Balinese-style gate framed by lush forested mountains. Then visit Wat Phumin, famous for its unique four-faced architecture appearing to rest atop two giant Nagas, serving as a temple, ordination hall, and chedi combined. Inside, admire the renowned “Whispering Lovers” mural, a masterpiece by Nan artist Nan Bua Phan depicting a man whispering sweet words to his lover. End the day at Nan Walking Street (Kuang Muang Nan) next to Wat Phumin. Enjoy street food and browse handmade crafts, textiles, souvenirs, silver jewelry, and more. 8:00 – Visit Wat Phra That Chae Haeng, an important relic temple on the eastern bank of Nan River built in 1368. Its golden stupa is believed to house Buddha relics brought from Sukhothai and is considered auspicious for those born in the year of the Rabbit. Stop to shop for local souvenirs before heading to the airport.
10:00 – Transfer to Nan Nakhon Airport for your flight back to Bangkok.
